LOS ANGELES (AP) — Shakira's two outfits worn during a Super Bowl halftime execution, her manually written verses and her vigorously crystalized electric guitar are among the things that will be in plain view for a historical center display in Los Angeles.
The Grammy Museum announced Thursday that the multi-Grammy winner will have her first exhibit opening on March 4. The exhibit called “Shakira: The Grammy Museum Experience” will feature 40 artifacts from her personal archive in the museum's permanent Latin music gallery.
The museum exhibit will explore Shakira’s musical evolution, from her origin as a Latin performer in Colombia to reaching global superstardom as a multi-genre performer, who spans several genres including bachata, rock, Bhangra and reggaetón
"It's a distinction to have the excursion of my profession showed at the Grammy gallery," Shakira said in an explanation. "These pieces are a demonstration of such countless permanent minutes that I value, and I'm so glad to have the option to remember these recollections with the people who have and keep on supporting me as a craftsman."
Shakira's electric guitar that is shrouded in 70,000 dark gems and acoustic guitar utilized for songwriting will be shown. Different things incorporate her outfits from her El Dorado visit in 2018 and the leaf-shrouded two-piece she wore on the "Oral Obsession, Vol. 2" collection in 2005.
"Shakira is the interesting whiz who has found a method for continuing developing as a craftsman while developing her far reaching crowd alongside her," said Jasen Emmons, the main custodian and VP of curatorial undertakings at the Grammy Gallery.
